Beautiful any time of the year. Limited parking, so park on 10th Ave E. near the Blaine Street stairs and walk down into the gardens. The Streissguths are amazing and (obviously) very hard workers!
This is one of the best places to watch the sunset in my opinion. You don't have a good view of the city however the view over Queen Anne and the Olympic Mountain peaks and ridges are incredible.

Pork belly sliders and hamburger are truly outstanding - plus the interior design and mixology is top notch
