Leah Yamshon: Loved the Pisco Punch and live music! A little pricey, but that's to be expected with craft cocktail joints in SF.
Pierre Cann: Enjoy a cocktail in a retro style bar, while listening to a live jazz band.
Freya-Rose Tanner: Awesome vibe with live band. The food was delicious and drinks to perfection.

George Kurtyka: Going tonight to check out Rebirth Brass Band. Love the Independent as it's one of the last quality independently booked live music venues in SF. Read more.
Wesley Hodgson: Great music venue. I've seen a couple of shows there while in town, and also a wedding reception! Lots of good memories and great sound.
John Litz: Great small live music venue. The Double Door of Chicago. Approx 400-500 capacity, unobstructed sight lines, great PA and sound. VIP section is designed nicely. Staff is friendly.
Kathleen Clark: One of my favorite places to see a live band.
Ben Russo: Best music venue in San Francisco. Hands down. Great sound, great drinks, beautiful decor, even great food. Read more.

Eric Kress: Great free summer concerts starting in July.
Kelly Strodl: Great place to see any free concert on a good weather day, but foggy most others. Bad place to be if you are allergic to mosquitoes or have a seat on the hill.
Vyoma: Love the yearly Stern Grove Music Concerts on Summer Sundays! The acoustics are just amazing. Go early at ~10am to secure a good space for your crew. Bring lots of nice treats and wine :)

Carmen Ibarra: Live music on Mondays and Wednesdays! Fun atmosphere! Great cocktails! Try the "Local Edition"
Valentin Guerin: Live music on some weekdays, perfect to enjoy your cocktails

Jacob H: Awesome venue for any live band. Get tickets before they sell out, especially for Thursday's popscene. Drink specials are legit, and the bartenders are surprisingly nice & friendly.
Russell Allen Esmus: Fun music venue - drinks, dancing, & live music tucked between Van Ness and Franklin on Fell. My favorite time was when I saw Moving Units. Lookout for the purple tentacles painted across the front.
Matt Cline: Great drink specials for a music venue: vodka red bull and a whiskey ginger with bitters. Both come in a pint glass, both are $10. Turn up.

Music Venue · Mission District · 61 tips and reviews
Charlie Ferreira: This former church turned music venue is a great place for a future live music=success B.R.E.. However, fight the impulse to be right in front of the stage. Sound much better about 30 feet back.
SFist: The beautifully revived church-like 1914 building is the official West Coast home of New Orleans' Preservation Hall Jazz Band, so naturally the music lineup leans towards the soulful and folky side. Read more.
Andrew: Great music venue. Small. Good small.

Concert Hall · Nob Hill · 55 tips and reviews
Eric Castro: This is a poor concert venue, in part because of the physical design, and in (large) part because of the house staff. If possible, see your concert anywhere else.
Clarice Louie: The concerts. The renovation of the auditorium. The mosaic history of the building is fascinating. It is now associated with Live Nation.
Steven Kaye: Concessions outside the concert spaces - a lifesaver for people like me who foolishly walked up Taylor.

Jazz and Blues Venue · Civic Center · 53 tips and reviews
Holger Lüdorf: Fantastic built-for-Jazz building near City Hall. The acoustics are great and perfect for jazz. Feels more like an amphitheater than a classic concert hall.
Travel + Leisure: The $64 million, 35,000-square-foot SF Jazz Center is America’s first stand-alone space for jazz, with a 700-seat auditorium designed to evoke both a club and concert hall.
Baris Baser: Such a good venue, not one crappy seat in the venue. World class musicians. So close to everything. Can't go wrong.
