An X. • July 27, 2010Delicious and affordable. Order the Lion's Head for some true Shanghainese fare.
Mary Z. • August 6, 2019This Cantonese restaurant specializes in congee and noodle but I come for their xiaolongbaos. The skin of their XLBs are thinner than Shanghainese places’ in Chinatown, which I prefer!
Le M. • December 21, 2017Little Alley deliver the most authentic Shanghainese food ever. Soup dumpling, Dong Po pork, and the Fish blossom, SOILD!
Andrew C. • September 12, 2018Shanghai-nese Chinese! Go for the pork buns, pork ribs and wonton soup!
jon f. • August 23, 2014The Shanghainese food here is great. Order the Shanghai noodles, eggplant, braised pork in brown sauce. also the yellowfish and seaweed dish is the best version of fish sticks I've ever had.
Ru L. • January 7, 2015I must say, it's not the best shanghainese restaurants in the city (coming from a native shanghainese), but they don't rush you to get the check and the service is not bad.
Cole K. • August 13, 2020The best Chinese food in Astoria, in my opinion. Get the Shanghainese stir-fried udon.
sharilyn • September 22, 2011Totally solid Shanghainese food, unpretentious, hearty. Steamed buns especially good!
Bon • January 31, 2020Mmore like onigiri vs Shanghainese or Taiwanese sticky rice roll. Sorta hybrid with the pork floss. And def not steam rice rolls. Had the pork with preserved veg...odd there‘s mayo in it 🙅🏻♀️mayo
ZenFoodster • October 12, 2017Menu, service & prices are geared more towards Caucasians (note: don't get XLB / soup dumplings @ a Canto place - decent 1’s are usually from authentic Shanghainese cuisine - which UES really needs!)
Teresa • August 10, 2021This used to Shanghai Deluxe, but they changed their name in 2021. The menu is identical and the restaurant still has the pretty neon lights. I like their Shanghainese dishes such as soup dumplings!
AmateurConcierge • December 13, 2017Shanghainese street food that’s essentially an eggy and seasoned crepe with various protein options. A bit sweet for my taste. Suggest going on the spicy end. Duck is the most popular
Barbara J. • August 16, 2018Really good broth and noodles with some big hitters from Shanghainese and Szhchuan cuisine. Cute decor. BBQ is dinner only so need to go back and try! No liquor license.
Jocelyn L. • June 8, 2022Tasty soup dumplings on a rainy night! Can’t complain for a reasonable Shanghainese spot near Times Square.
Ting • February 22, 2013Korean take on shanghainese food? Food isnt too bad but doesn't come anywhere close.
Jocelyn L. • October 1, 2022This is a Shanghainese chain maybe. 6 xiao long bao for $6.50. Yummy, clean and fast. Also the Sliced Beef with Sour Soup. So good.
